VIRUS DYNAMICS

Virus Dynamics was designed for the 13th International Chaumont Garden Festival with the theme of “Chaos”.

It is a garden full of symbolism and refers to the mathematical Chaos Theory recognising the work of population biologists in the mathematical modelling of HIV (and other viruses) in the control and management of the disease.

After periods of doubling (Period Doubling Border) the growth of the virus become non-linear and viral peaks are represented by the Graphic Grid Mound with Windows of Order, a Walk-in-Time Path and Blood Capillary Beds (planted with Japanese blood grass, Imperata “Red Baron”).
