LARGE
COUNTRY HOUSE LANDSCAPE - NORTH WALES
A 2.5 acre landscape from an existing field with a contemporary
feel yet blending in with the glorious Welsh mountain backdrop.
A radical design using wide gravelled areas and ‘rivers’
of fine blue Welsh slate. The extensive planting was designed
with drifts of grasses and late new perennials to give a rich
tapestry of colour all interspersed with curving blocks of
clipped yew or beech to provide essential structure. Because
of the extensive area, a flexible grid plan was designed in
order to organise the planting scheme.
